Homemade C4 Device

This is a C4 Device that i have created for an upcoming game i will be releasing with some friends. The C4 will automatically activate on impact and there will be a 5 second timer until it goes off. 

 

The Device can be crafted using circuit boards, gunpowder , Fabric and metal scraps.  

 

How was it made?

The model was created using Maya 2016, Photoshop and Substance painter 2.

 

The development of the Model took around 6 hours (with breaks) and the Unwrapping took 2 hours. This model has 2 UV Maps and this is because i want the asset to look good in the game but not to a point where it could slow down computer speed.

Texturing

When the model was completely unwrapped and i was happy, i moved on to substance painter 2 to start texturing my model. The texture size on the model is 2k and this is because you get an ultra HD perspective of what it looks like but the game will remain 'Playable'. The textures on the Explosive Device are made up of several different maps, and they are the Normal Map, Ambient Occlusion, Roughness and Metallic.
