Vietnam War M2 Browning

This is an M2 Browning  that i modeled for a small war scene that i was developing on UE4. The model of the gun is inspired by the Browning used in the Vietnam War by the American Army.

 

How was it made?

The M2 Browning was created using Maya 2017, Photoshop and Substance painter 2.

 

The Creation of the Browning Model took around 13 hours (with breaks) and the UV Unwrapping Step took another 5 hours. This model has 3 UV Maps because the design of the Model is pretty complicated and when it comes to rendering the object i want the quality to be to a professional standard.

 

Texturing

When the Asset was completely unwrapped and i was happy, i moved on to substance painter 2 to start texturing my model. The texture sizes on this model are 4k and this is because the unwrap is good. Plus it gives the model a huge realistic effect and that was my goal. The textures on the M2 Browning are made up of several different maps, and they are the Normal Map, Ambient Occlusion, Roughness and Metallic.
